Sgt. Nate Fitness has helped me in more ways than I realized at the time. Overall health fitness & wellness improved thanks to the training and discipline he taught me. Sgt. Nate’s classes are one of the absolute best classes, not only in Philly but that I’ve ever taken. After a few months, I felt fit and stronger than I ever have, and I didn’t have to work out for hours on end to get there. The workouts are efficient, challenging, and Sgt. Nate really cares about everyone there. If I didn’t move to NYC, I would definitely still be attending this class! - M. Sgt. Nate Fitness is hands down the best workout around. Sgt. Nate works every part of your body with every single class. You will never get bored! The amount of work he is able to squeeze into his 45 minute classes is amazing. He knows his members, knows their strengths, knows their weaknesses and pushes them individually. Sgt. Nate Fitness offers one of the most fun, intense, and gratifying military-style cross-training workouts in Philadelphia. The founder is a former US Army Sergeant who draws from a 17-year military background as an Army Medic and over 14 years as a healthcare professional. Classes were capped at 15 to provide personalized training attention and within 45 minutes, members receive an intense, efficient, full body workout. Variety in training keeps things interesting with my favorites being the Ranger Training, Advanced Kettle bell Conditioning and Rapid Body conditioning classes. There is also a unique comradery between members who encourage each other with shared accountability and sense of family. - B. Daly
Sgt. Nate's kettle bell class was one of the best fitness classes I've taken in the city. He's incredibly technical and hands-on, insisting on proper form for the most efficient and effective workout. He took the time to teach me how to use/hold/lift/swing/position the kettle bells with each move, and was both encouraging and helpful throughout the class. His goal is to give you the most effective full-body workout, mindful of your time and experience. He incorporated various techniques and exercises to ensure that my heart rate was pumping for a great combination of cardio and strength training. It was definitely an intense, sweaty 45 minutes! Needless to say I am sore - and very pleased with my progress from just one class. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend! - S. Charleston
I've been taking classes with Sgt. Nate for about a year. My favorites are cross training and kettle bells. The classes are tough and you will be tired after and sore the next day, but that's what you came for, right? As a health care professional, I appreciate Sgt. Nate's health care knowledge/background. I've been to other classes with other instructors who make you do crazy tough workouts without regard to safety. With Nate, you will be challenged no matter what your fitness level, but he won't let you do something that will cause injury...and don't worry about having never worked with kettle bells before. Just follow Sgt. Nate's instructions and you'll pick it up before the class is over. I know there are hundreds of fitness options in Philly, but you should really check out Sgt Nate Fitness. You won't regret it!...well maybe your thighs will as you try to get down the stairs the next day, LOL, but that's what keeps me coming back for more. - K. Cooke
